Happy 2021!

Hi! It's Jolayne. For the past year I have been creating a new website dedicated to travel, blended with tips and recommendations for capturing moments and memories along the way.

My goal this past month on simplyjolayne.com has been to create foundational content related to ultimate packing tips and enhancing your photography skills.

You might ask, “But why? Travel is pretty much shut down with the pandemic?” Maybe, but I am optimistic that it won’t last forever, AND that we’ll be able to get back to enjoying some travel and seeking out new adventures in 2021.

Maybe you need to adjust your definition of "adventures". Chris and I explored and hiked throughout Colorado last year and were able to finally see some of the places closer to home that we had always wanted to visit.

The best way to plan for travel, is to start preparing for it now.

TIP

Keep your toiletry bag as well as your carry-on packed and ready to go. And when you return home from a trip, replenish items that you have used so both bags are set for your next adventure.

Tip

Tuck a small power supply with USB ports into your luggage. It takes up minimal space but makes charging all of your electronic devices so much easier!

I started my photography hobby without knowing a lot. Through persistence, practice, and training, I have expanded my skills and talent for taking pictures over the years. I discovered that my passion for photography blended perfectly with my love of travel.
